10 Actors Who Were In Superhero Movies And You Didn’t Remember

The presence of these actors and actresses in their respective action film universes is memorable.

However, today, other artists are recognized for other roles, such as Ellen Pompeo in Grey’s Anatomy or Jack Gleeson in Game of Thrones, who were also part of superhero movies, and surely you did not remember.

1. Oscar Isaac

Academy Award winner Oscar Isaac will soon be venturing into the MCU on the Moon Knight series. However, prior to this role, Isaac had already played a Marvel character. In 2016, the Guatemalan actor gave life to one of the most powerful villains in the X-Men franchise: Sabah Nur (Apocalypse) in X-Men: Apocalypse.

2. Rachel McAdams

With a long career in Hollywood, Rachel McAdams is primarily known for her roles in romantic movies. However, in 2016 she debuted in the MCU. Do you remember her? McAdams played Dr. Christine Palmer in Doctor Strange, a character she will repeat in the sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

3. Zöe Kravitz

During her career, Zöe Kravitz has participated in different franchises, from being Cristina in Divergent or Leta Lestrange in the world of Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts, to her next role in The Batman as Catwoman.

However, before giving life to a DC character, Kravitz played the mutant Angel Salvadore in X-Men: First Class.

4. Omar Sy

The French actor is mainly remembered for his work in the film Intouchables and his most recent starring in the Netflix series Lupine.

But Omar Sy has participated in other great successes such as Jurassic World and X-Men: Days of Future Past, where he gave life to Bishop.

5. Peter Dinklage

Peter Dinklage achieved international stardom thanks to his role as Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones, which earned him eight Emmy Award nominations, of which he won four.

Beyond the world of Game of Thrones, Peter has given life to other characters, such as the cruel scientist Dr. Bolivar Trask in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

6. Joey King

Today, Joey King is recognized for her role as Gypsy Rose Blanchard in The Act, which earned her a Golden Globes nomination and hit Netflix trilogy The Kissing Booth. However, a few years ago, the young actress gave life to one of Batman’s villains in the Christopher Nolan trilogy. In The Dark Knight Rises, King played the younger version of Talia Al Ghul, a member of the League of Assassins and Ra’s Al Ghul’s daughter.

7. Jack Gleeson

Like Peter Dinklage, Jack Gleeson is recognized for his work on Game of Thrones, where he played the cruel and sadistic Joffrey. However, years before sitting on the Iron Throne, Gleeson shared a screen with Batman. The British actor made a guest appearance as a loyal Batman fan in the first film of the Christopher Nolan-directed trilogy: Batman Begins.

8. Ellen Pompeo

Ellen Pompeo will always be remembered for playing Meredith Gray on Grey’s Anatomy since 2005.

However, two years before committing to the series created by Shonda Rhimes, Pompeo appeared in Daredevil, where she gave life to Karen Page.

9. Nicole Kidman

In recent years, the Oscar winner has been recognized for her great performances in HBO productions such as The Undoing and Big little lies.

Kidman has more than 80 titles as an actress in series and movies, and just one of them is her portrayal of Dr. Chase Meridian in Batman Forever.

10. Uma Thurman

Uma Thurman is known for her work in the Quentin Tarantino films. During the gap between her role as Mia Wallace in Pulp Fiction and her starring role in Kill Bill, Thurman gave life to one of the most iconic villains in the Batman world. In Batman and Robin, Uma played Dr. Pamela Isley, better known as Poison Ivy.
